TREKKING ON THE CIRCE PEAK (541m)
The starting point is at Torre Paola where for 100 m you follow a white road before taking the footpath (1). Soon you should be able to see the yellow signs of the Cai (Club Alpino Italiano), hat would lead you right to the top. The first stop is at 250 m. above the woods from where you can see the lake and the white dunes. You then follow the footpath that becomes more demanding and winding. From the peak the panorama gets better. Looking north you might be able to see Albani hills and with a clear sky (north winds) the Cupola of Saint Peter in Roma. Looking south you might see the blue green sea with the islands of Ponza, Palmarola and Zannone. The whole trek should take an hour and three quarters uphill, one hour to come back. Follow the Red signs (Cai) on your way down footpath (2).
